Holy shit I’ve spent years trying to even remember this game! Me and my dad on the n64 would have battles! Oh my goodness thank you for helping me refind this classic game I have been looking for, for years!

Looking forward to finally playing this on Switch Online (from what I’ve seen, the NSO N64 emulator handles it very well)! It’s a game I wanted to play on N64 during its heyday but never did for some reason

Now this is the kind of hidden gem I'm looking for.

To add to the excellent random realism of the game, it was so difficult to get a hole in one. In all my years of playing I never got one until a friend came over, who'd never played the game and he flukely got one! Much to my annoyance, his replay is still saved on my Mario Golf cartridge.

It’s a tragic shame this game never got any rerelease’s on modern consoles making it a hidden time capsule gem 💎. Especially I really want to try this game out since I enjoyed the previous 1st game.

This was a recent one for me, so I never played it back in the day. I started it and really enjoyed it, and then got distracted by the rest of my backlog. I came back to it last year and completed it. Overall, i think it's a tough but fun game with a unique and for the most part well executed gameplay style. Nice to see a positive review on it... I have heard views from many that weren't so kind. I appreciate it for its quirky gameplay. Having played it now, i do think it's a shame the sequel was cancelled.

I went to GAME specifically to buy FIFA, but the guy working there convinced me that ISS was better, so I got it. I loved it, played it endlessly, for years! Years later I tried FIFA 64 and it was dreadful. That guy did me a real solid that day!

Fun fact: The game's music was by Barry Leitch, who is also known for another racing soundtrack, Top Gear for the SNES, as well as the remix version of the game, Horizon Chase.

Hearing the commentary saying the players names was mind blowing for me back then on the N64

One thing I really really hated about this game is it's physics. It is soooo off and awkward to the point I can't bear myself to play it. Especially comparing to other racing games in this era. No matter how hard I try to tweak the suspensions, handling, etc. the driving feels shit. And I've played some sim racers too that demand precision and I can still race and control properly. But this one is just a**. For comparison... Compare this to Rally Cross on the PS1, that game is more playable than this.

A family friendly Resident Evil-inspired game starring Scooby Doo was an amazing concept. Missed opportunity here.

My first ever N64 game! For a while this was the only game I had until I bought Goldeneye some time later, but I was able to replay this game so many times trying to get personal best times using all the cars, and given the different strategies for each one only having 3 tracks became less of a dealbreaker for me

I mean if you loved the show of course your gonna love getting the chance to have there powers but Thanks for seeing the potential there’s still time for them to redeem this game

Man the memories, I use to play this everyday back when I was a child.

To me it was the opposite. As a teen when this was released I didn't like it. I was not a big fan of realistic racing games and I'd rather play Mario Kart, Diddy or F-Zero. I found the controls very floaty with boring music and gameplay. Fast forward 20 years I got this for my N64 collection and I've been surprised how much I'm loving this game. It's not perfect but I feel it's very enjoyable and has aged very well. The music is great I love it, it's calm but beautiful, something I could listen for hours. The control yeah it's a bit floaty but with practice you get used to it, I personally prefer the smallest steering wheel for the controls. Only bad thing for me is having only 4 tracks (5 but you have to unlock it). But yeah, as an adult now I appreciate racing games more and I got a bunch for N64, this is the one I keep coming back more.
